Hi, I'm Jennifer! I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA in Computer Science while playing Women's Lacrosse in college — so I know firsthand what it takes to balance a demanding course load with other commitments, and I bring that same discipline to tutoring. Hi, I'm Jennifer! I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA in Computer Science while playing Women's Lacrosse in college — so I know firsthand what it takes to balance a demanding course load with other commitments, and I bring that same discipline to tutoring. The hard part about classes in high school or college is that there are often 25+ students per teacher, more content than fits in a semester, and everyone's at a different level coming in. Sometimes lessons move too fast, sometimes too slow. That's why I adapt to your pace instead of the other way around. I use a shared digital notebook you can access anytime, breaking problems into steps with clear explanations for each one.
I've tutored both individuals and groups. I was a TA for my high school's ESL class for a year, where I worked 1:1 with a student in Algebra and helped him avoid failing the class. In college, I helped my roommate get through Discrete Math the same way.
This past summer I helped lead a local high school lacrosse club to a winning season, working on stick skills, footwork, and game IQ with players at different levels. Whether you're picking up the sport or refining specific skills, I can build a plan around where you're at.
If any of this sounds like a fit, I'm just an email away! Send me a couple of example problems (or tell me what you're working on skills-wise), and I'll show you how I'd approach it.
