I studied molecular genetics in graduate school, have conducted research diving in Big Sur and Borneo, and continue to research dive in Monterey and Carmel Bays. I have also led a workshop for kids teaching them to dissect a shark, and have taught dis-advantaged children computer use.
In addition to other freelance work, I am the editorial director of a beautiful and informative magazine dedicated to a local State Park Reserve.
