Hi! My name is Francesca, and I am a junior at UCLA majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Entrepreneurship, where I maintain a 4.0 GPA and am part of the Honors Program. My academic background is rooted in strong quantitative and analytical training, which allows me to confidently tutor across a wide range of subjects, including math, science, standardized testing, and college preparation. I earned a 1550 on the SAT and have extensive experience supporting students in both the reading and math sections, as well as guiding them through the college admissions process.

I have been tutoring for approximately seven years, beginning as a freshman in high school and continuing through my time at UCLA. During this period, I have worked with students ages 10 through 20 in one-on-one and small group settings, both in person and online. My tutoring experience includes elementary math through calculus, with a focus on honors and AP-level coursework, as well as chemistry, physics, and biology. In addition to private tutoring, I have volunteered through organizations such as NCL and UCLA-affiliated programs, teaching in classroom environments, students’ homes, and virtual platforms. I also regularly support students with college preparation, including essay editing, activity list development, personal statements, and supplemental essays.

My teaching philosophy centers on meeting students where they are and building a plan that fits their individual needs, goals, and learning styles. Beyond content mastery, I emphasize time management, organization, and study strategies so students gain skills that extend beyond a single subject or exam. I aim to help students become confident and self-sufficient learners by breaking down complex material, setting clear agendas for each session, and teaching them how to approach challenges independently. My goal is to help students succeed academically while developing habits that support long-term success.
