I am an experienced educator with more than thirteen years of teaching American Sign Language in diverse school communities. My work in the classroom is shaped by my belief that language is a bridge that connects people, cultures, and opportunities. Having grown up multilingual and later becoming fluent in ASL, French, and Haitian Creole, I understand how communication opens doors for students who may otherwise feel unseen or unheard. This personal experience continues to fuel my commitment to creating inclusive learning environments where every student feels valued and supported.
My background includes years of service as a sign language interpreter, a foreign language department leader, and a coach who works closely with students, families, and colleagues to promote academic and personal growth. I take pride in helping learners discover confidence in their abilities, whether they are mastering ASL fingerspelling, improving communication at home, or preparing for advanced coursework. Over the years, I have worked with children, teens, and adults, and I believe that customized, student-centered instruction is the key to helping each of them succeed.
At the heart of my work is a dedication to helping individuals connect more deeply with the Deaf community and with one another. I strive to make learning meaningful, engaging, and culturally rich, whether I am tutoring privately, teaching in schools, or partnering with families. My goal is to empower students with lifelong communication skills while fostering respect, understanding, and authentic human connection through language.
