I graduated from San Jose State University in 2023 with a degree in history, and I have spent the past four years tutoring students in history, test preparation, essay writing, and a wide range of English-related subjects. Throughout this time, I have worked with students at different skill levels, helping them strengthen their understanding of historical concepts while also improving their ability to write clearly, think critically, and perform confidently on exams. My approach focuses on breaking down complex topics into manageable ideas and guiding students step-by-step so they can build both knowledge and confidence.

In addition to tutoring, I have worked for the Santa Clara Unified School District for five years as a student aide and after-school program leader. In this role, I supported students from elementary through high school in both academic and structured learning environments. This experience has given me a strong understanding of how students learn at different ages and how to adapt my teaching style to meet their individual needs, whether that means reinforcing foundational skills or helping with more advanced assignments.

I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor my sessions to fit each individual. Whether I am helping a younger student build reading comprehension skills or guiding a high school student through essay structure and historical analysis, I focus on creating a supportive, engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress. My goal is not just to help students complete assignments, but to help them develop skills they can use independently long after our sessions are over.
