I specialized in Arabic language and literature, earning a masters and doctorate in Arabic Literature in 1990. I am currently a teacher of Arabic and literature. I am also a consultant in charge of revising Arabic material published in books, magazines and student dissertations.
I taught a variety of Arabic courses at multiple universities since 1995. I also taught beginner courses in Arabic for international students. My teaching method is constantly evolving. I strive to make the learning more enjoyable for my students. I find simpler ways to explain topics so that students stay focused on the material. For example, I try sometimes using language that is correct standard Arabic, but also not too different from the locally spoken dialect. I also try to involve the students as much in the topic discussed by asking them questions on the material and giving them feedback.
My teaching method and experience will allow students to love learning Arabic. I believe that my students will widen their vocabulary by studying a variety of topics, and will see a clear progress in weeks.
