Emphatic tutor who is willing and able

After graduating with a Master’s in English Literature/Creative Writing in Fiction, I was blessed to be hired on through a tutoring company that works with the next county over school district. I started late in the season, I found I enjoyed working with elementary students to strive together to learn and retain school material.

I am privately tutoring a student at this time, I find that I want to work full time with tutoring. As an online student my through my Bachelors’ and Masters, I would like to tutor online, as it allows me the ability to tutor without worrying about possible distractions such as traffic.

Focusing on English through my whole college session, I have taken basic composition to writing manuscripts from my thesis’ classes. I have learned to identity all areas of the English, speaking, writing, and reading
My subjects of interest are English Literature, English, Grammar, Language Arts, Reading, Writing, Proofreading, and Creative Thinking. These topics complete the whole English subject as it prepares the student to prepare for their professional lives, as reading and writing is the base core need in all careers.

As an emphatic tutor I want to use life knowledge as a base to build on. Using life knowledge as a base, keeps the student in a positive attitude as they take my guidance to learn the work needed. Emphatic teaching is meant to keep the student ready to learn and not to fill overwhelmed. This means a slower pace of learning is brought into the tutoring if the student needs more time. I don’t believe quantity is better than quality. I would like to see a student complete a page of work by themselves then having help on every page of homework.

I am easy to going person that will do everything possible to help the child learn. I am not above of searching with the student to find answers. It is the only way one can learn.
