Hi! My name is Gabriel and I’m a Ph.D. student in Neuroscience at UCLA. I tutor neuroscience, data analysis, and essay writing, and I bring a research-focused approach to each subject. Hi! My name is Gabriel and I’m a Ph.D. student in Neuroscience at UCLA. I tutor neuroscience, data analysis, and essay writing, and I bring a research-focused approach to each subject. I earned my undergraduate degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Puerto Rico, where I graduated Cum Laude, and I was funded by the NIH to conduct research in a neuroscience lab. I also have experience tutoring students at the high school and college level through TA and LA roles, as well as one-on-one sessions.

I focus on helping students understand material from the ground up rather than relying on memorization. In neuroscience, I help students connect concepts to experiments and data. In data analysis, I help with organizing data, choosing methods, and interpreting results. In essay writing, I help with brainstorming, structure, revision, and turning rough ideas into clear writing.

My background in Cell and Molecular Biology gave me a broad foundation in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, and Molecular Genetics. I’m a neuroscience PhD candidate at UCLA studying visual decision‑making using mice as a model organism. I have extensive experience in experimental design, neural and behavioral data collection, and computational analysis with Python and MATLAB. Over the past few years I’ve mentored undergraduates and taught neuroscience courses at the graduate level, helping students grasp complex concepts in neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, perception, cognition and research methods.
