As a PhD student in Biomedical Engineering with a degree in Biology and Chemistry (summa cum laude), my exceptionally strong background in STEM allows me to break down complex scientific principles and explain them to a student of any grade level. My in depth knowledge of biology, chemistry, and math makes me perfect tutor for finding different ways to explain a topic until it finally clicks for my students.
My experience with tutoring, especially AP biology and AP chemistry, has allowed me to have an in depth understanding of both the curriculum, as well as the types of questions found on AP exams. I also attended the number one high school in the country (Thomas Jefferson Highschool for Science and Technology), and am very familiar with the workload and expectations from rigorous high school science classes. My students have gone on to receive 5’s on their exams, but more importantly, they have a much better understanding of the scientific concepts. Due to my PhD, I also am able to teach college level science classes as well, and can also offer assistance in reading and understanding scientific literature.
In addition to STEM classes, I offer standardized testing prep including the SAT and ACT. I also offer college and graduate school consulting; I can help review applications and guide you on your academic journey.
Please reach out if you want to have a better understanding of your STEM classes. I respond quickly and would love to work with you!

excellent tutor and very patient!

Stephanie helped me understand organic chemistry to a degree that I had known I could before. We went through many practice problems and allowed me to show her my understanding of the topic and was very patient and willing towards helping me feel more comfortable with certain concepts. I would highly recommend Stephanie as a tutor if you are struggling in a course!

Helpful Personal Statement Tutor!!!

Stephanie is so helpful when it comes to discussing ideas and developing content for writing. After one lesson with her, I was able to write my personal statement with confidence! She is so knowledgeable and personable, which I really appreciate in a tutor. I recommend having her as a tutor to help you through the grad school application process.

A smart individual

I had the chance to meet with Stephanie to talk about a research paper. She is so smart and knowledgeable of her field (Biomedical engineering). If you anyone is interested in getting a tutoring session with her, please do so.
