I'm Jennifer, and I'm a classically trained opera singer. I originated as an r&b and pop singer. I started classical training in university at Cal State Fullerton, because I wanted to build technique. The goal was to be able to do whatever I wanted with my voice, as well as build lifelong healthy habits.
My journey has seen me train in opera, musical theater, jazz, commerical music, several instruments, early childhood music, and in electronic music/recording arts. I know Protools!...

My journey has seen me train in opera, musical theater, jazz, commerical music, several instruments, early childhood music, and in electronic music/recording arts. I know Protools! Languages I've studied include French, German, Italian, and Japanese.
My first teaching job was at a music school where I taught students of all ages general music education and voice. My focus is on encouraging students to reach their goals, as well as teaching them techniques such as proper support, breath control, beautiful tone, interpretation skills, and intonation. In the classical world there can be strict guidelines for what a student and voice type can do which limits artistry. I choose to allow my students to explore what their voice can do.
