I am currently a graduate student at UCLA pursuing my Ph.D. in Neuroscience. I have experience as TA and tutor in AP Biology, Neurobiology, and Systems Neuroscience. I am currently specializing in Neurogenomics using cutting edge bioinformatic and molecular biology techniques to study nervous system regeneration. I went to the University of Virginia for my undergraduate degree in Biology (BS). I love working with students and helping them understand concepts in an active learning environment. I do not teach rote memory, but instead, focus on breaking down concepts and then asking out-of-the-box questions that involve critical thinking to promote a holistic understanding of the subject matter. This technique provides students with a thorough understanding of concepts and biological processes that prepares them for any type of test question.

As a graduate student, I have spent many years in intensive study of Biology and Neuroscience in particular. I am currently at a top 10 school in the world for graduate studies in Neuroscience and I have experience as a TA and tutor for college-level courses.

Arielle and I have worked together once so far. Our meeting was so wonderful I just could not help but write her a detailed review. Arielle was quick to respond to my inquiry for tutoring and so communicative with messages until the time of our scheduled tutoring session. She ensured she was prepared by asking for, reading, and going over the extensive material I needed assistance with well before our session, and had a well-thought-out plan of action to tackle my needs piece by piece. She is concise, direct, confident in her studies, extremely knowledgeable, and knows how to communicate and explain complex thoughts into more digestible forms to those she tutors.
