Excellent Tutor—emphasis on pragmatism.
William is an excellent tutor — when explaining a problem, he uses analogies that the student would understand and provides real-life examples of how the concept is implemented. I started sessions with William in the summer, going from pre-calc to Calculus in a few months. I received a 92% on my final and a 96% in my calculus class. William was critical in my success throughout the course. William’s teachings emphasized understanding over memorization, allowing me to move through concepts and problems efficiently while understanding the use cases. We have been working with William for several weeks now, initially just for AP Calculus, but added AP Chemistry as well.. My normally optimistic, curious, and excited, 'A" student was discouraged, losing confidence, and close to failing. William came with a fun, engaging, and easy nature my student connected with well. His commanding understanding of the material, and his ability to teach at the students present level, is amazing!! William is responsible for me getting through a Data Analysis course without hating my life. It would be enough as a tutor that he is an expert on the subject, but what sets him apart is his ability to relate the concepts in a way that makes sense for me. He would often explain things in a few different ways to ensure that I fully grasped the concept. If you are on the fence about getting some help, go with William. Think “Headphones” from The Internship with more personality. He is clutch, and I genuinely appreciated his help.
