I have always been excited about coaching, I played basketball since I was young. It has helped me tremendously throughout my life. I played travel basketball, which gave me an opportunity to play at Marist High School. Coaches eagerly reached out for me to attend the high school. Entering my senior year, I began assistant coaching an AAU program, Chicago Lockdown, under my mentor and former AAU coach and trainer, Antonio Maestranzi. After playing at Marist, I attended Northern Illinois University with a walk-on opportunity to play basketball there. Without guaranteed playing time and the high cost of tuition I decided to continue at NIU as a student. After my freshman year I transferred to Elmhurst College to play basketball. I played college basketball at Elmhurst for a year. I no longer have the desire to play but love coaching and mentoring younger people around me. In that same year I was an assistant coach for the men's varsity team at Guilford High School, in Rockford. I enjoyed helping the kids become better players and mostly better people. I love basketball but love the opportunities basketball has given me more, and I want to give that to kids with the same goals I had as a player. At the time I lived in Chicago, so because of the distance I couldn't continue coaching in Rockford. Now living in Westwood with spare time from classes at UCLA I would love to coach again and greatly appreciate the opportunity.
