Hi, I'm Cameron! I graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) with a B.S. in Business Administration and a B.A. in Theatre.
I specialize in K-12 Math and K-8 English Language Arts (ELA), including reading comprehension, writing, grammar, study skills, and academic coaching. Over the past several years, I have worked as a middle school math teacher, third-grade teacher, and private tutor, helping students strengthen their skills, build confidence, and achieve their academic goals.
My approach is simple: meet students where they are. Every learner has unique strengths, challenges, and interests, and I tailor lessons to fit each student's individual needs. Whether a student needs extra support, enrichment, homework help, or test preparation, I strive to make learning engaging, accessible, and build confidence.
One of my greatest strengths as a tutor is my ability to break down complex concepts into manageable steps. I enjoy helping students connect what they are learning to real-life situations and their own interests, making learning more meaningful and memorable. I have worked with students who need foundational support as well as students seeking advanced challenges, and I pride myself on helping each learner reach their full potential.
My passion for Spanish began in high school, where I earned a Bronze Medal on the National Spanish Examination and was named my school's Best Spanish Student. I later lived with a host family in Spain for a month, further strengthening my language skills and cultural understanding.
Nothing is more rewarding than watching a student gain confidence, improve academically, and realize what they are capable of achieving. Many of my long-term tutoring students have significantly improved their performance in math and other subjects while developing stronger independent learning habits. I look forward to helping your student reach their goals and discover that same success.
