John – Exceptional Final Cut Pro Tutor for any level
As a complete newbie to video editing, I was overwhelmed when I decided to dive into Final Cut Pro. I'd heard it was powerful, but the interface and tools felt like a foreign language to me. That's when I found John, and honestly, he turned what could have been a frustrating experience into an exciting journey.

Knowledgable with both Sibelius and Music composition
John and I are working slowly on an arrangement I call Prelude To Exit Music. Radiohead's album OK Computer had a track called Exit Music (For A Film) and several jazz artists have interpreted it - most notably Brad Mehldau. The original piece is taken from Chopin's prelude in E Minor - I worte a transition to B minor and John and I are integrating the two pieces together. For anyone hoping to learn how to compose/arrange using Sibelius - the tools and their setup is as difficult or worse putting notes on the page. But so far it's been a good ride. G

Really seemed to know the software backwards and forwards
I needed guidance on Adobe Audition...John was extremely patient as I fumbled around navigating screens that were new to me...while pointing out features that I'm sure I'll make frequent use of as I get more proficient. I got value from our session and look forward to making additional progress in the coming weeks

Great! ‘John the Greek’ of guitar and voice
A fab instructor, a Greek from South Africa… as I am seriously injured in hearing, we worked on pitch intervals. I am in that Greek island of Deaf people who once were musicians by injury again and again misdiagnosed such that the US fell… John is a delightful instructor who enjoys the Anciebt Greek plays, and we want a happy ending. I avoid his library. he calls out with relish and a British accent ‘0/10’ 0/10 0/10 — honest on a gov form it is all deaf Greek to me. And I am just as well trained. Tragicomedy. Did John just play a Tritone, or…a Perfect Fifth? Was there any noise or sound at all? (thos supplemental for those who were not attacked by an enemy on civilian female hearing)…the Greek Chorus wants No. More. Bummer. Scoring. We get it. It’s bad bad bad Greek Chorus Stuff. Dolby was made as a UK military for blowing my ears out. To score the deaf hearing ‘nothing’ …one more 0/10 and Olympic deities will descend at some point to avenge me. (Diana that bitch in the mists is still a huntress, VA?? What losers. Virginia: 0-100. I heartily recommend John the Greek.
