Hello! As a graduate of Brown University with a double major in Biology and Latin with Honors, I know from experience what it takes to make the grade, and do so with joy and purpose. I thrive on helping my students rock Latin (and school) through building an unshakable foundation in Latin grammar and translation (hello, perfect passive participles, I'm looking at you), adopting successful study strategies, and having fun!

Hello! As a graduate of Brown University with a double major in Biology and Latin with Honors, I know from experience what it takes to make the grade, and do so with joy and purpose. I thrive on helping my students rock Latin (and school) through building an unshakable foundation in Latin grammar and translation (hello, perfect passive participles, I'm looking at you), adopting successful study strategies, and having fun!

Through my decade + of Latin tutoring experience, I have seen that whatever the grade or challenge, your child's understanding, skills, and momentum can be transformed, and he or she will gain the confidence in her ability to excel through hard work and fun. By the end of a session with me, not only will your child feel prepared and on the road to academic success, but she might also *gasp* begin to love Latin too!

When I meet with your child, we focus on the foundation, the individual, and the joy in the process...and the result is true academic fulfillment. My students have received acceptances to Harvard, Cornell, USC Marshall, University of Michigan, Penn, Vassar, Wesleyan, and more.

I majored in Latin, with Honors, and biology at Brown University and was awarded the James Aldrich Pirce Prize for Outstanding Honors Thesis in Classics. I was also granted the President Francis Wayland Prize for Latin translation excellence. Upon graduating, I taught all levels of Latin + AP Latin at a prep school on the East Coast. It brings me joy to help students develop a love of Latin and achieve their academic goals, including fulfillment and confidence in and out of school!

Transformative teacher!

Elizabeth is one of a kind! In just a few lessons, Elizabeth has transformed my daughter’s understanding of high school level Latin. We were ready to give up —- previous Latin teachers and tutors were unable to explain concepts clearly, and my daughter was lost. But Elizabeth has a unique talent to reach all students, meet them where they are, and explain things in a clear, fresh, and fun way. And Elizabeth has such enthusiasm that she motivates students as well! We are beyond thankful to have found Elizabeth and her talents. We will be utilizing her tutoring services consistently as the Latin level increases. She is unmatched and a remarkable teacher.
