Hi, I’m Nicole! I hold a Master of Science in Education, am an ADHD-Certified educator, and bring over 15 years of experience as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, education director, and educational therapist. I work 1:1 with elementary and middle school students both in person and online. I’m a highly trained Orton-Gillingham practitioner and also trained in Lindamood-Bell’s Seeing Stars and Visualizing & Verbalizing programs, as well as the Wilson Reading System. This range of training allows me to personalize reading intervention to each student’s needs.
I specialize in supporting students with dyslexia and ADHD. My reading intervention focuses on decoding, fluency, and comprehension using structured, multisensory methods. I create joyful, patient, and confidence-building sessions that engage students through tactile and kinesthetic tools. I incorporate fun games into every session.
I believe every student can succeed with the right tools and support- I am my student's cheerleader and advocate! My sessions are guided by informal assessments, which I conduct during the first two paid sessions to identify specific reading needs and build rapport. I collaborate closely with families, schools, and allied professionals to ensure consistency and success. I provide free weekly updates to parents.
Sessions are 50 minutes and offered 7 days a week. Twice-weekly sessions are considered the standard for effective intervention, with once-weekly sessions available for skill maintenance. To start, I offer a free 15-minute Zoom consultation with parents to learn about student needs and determine if we are the right fit. Next, I conduct the informal assessments and rapport-building sessions to determine instruction. Then, I offer a free 20-minute Zoom call with parents to review the intervention plan. Finally, we begin our weekly sessions!
Looking forward to connecting with you and learning about your child!
