Hi! I'm Kyra, a Harvard University graduate and academic coach with 8+ years of experience helping students succeed academically. I have worked with more than 100 students in ACT/SAT preparation, academic subjects, and college application essays.
I take a holistic approach to tutoring, helping students not only master the material in front of them, but also develop the confidence and strategies they need to become stronger, more independent learners. Because I work across multiple areas—including test preparation, math, English, Spanish, and college admissions—I am able to support students throughout different stages of their academic journey.
My students have gone on to attend universities including Harvard, Stanford, the University of Chicago, Amherst, Cornell, and more. I have also consistently helped students improve their grades, strengthen their test performance, and reach academic goals that initially felt out of reach. My goal is not just to help students succeed in the moment, but to give them the tools and confidence to continue succeeding independently.
My own academic background includes a 34 ACT score (99th percentile), including a 36 in ACT English, a 780 Math and 780 Writing SAT score (99th percentile), and recognition as a National Merit Scholarship Winner, National Achievement Scholarship Winner, and National AP Scholar with Distinction. In addition, I have a Spanish citation from Harvard University and study abroad experience in Spain.
I truly enjoy working with students and building relationships that help them feel capable and excited about their goals. I would love to learn more about your student's needs and discuss how I can help!
