My name is Milan S., and I am currently an undergraduate at UC Berkeley studying Computer Science and Applied Mathematics. My name is Milan S., and I am currently an undergraduate at UC Berkeley studying Computer Science and Applied Mathematics. I have had previous experience tutoring a business course at Columbia Business School for high school students. I really love tutoring because I feel that it is truly a great gift to be able to teach others difficult topics. I am easy to work with, and I am very professional. I also have a lot of experience with being tutored, so I know what qualities make a great tutor.

Mathematics is a truly beautiful subject, but most people have trouble with it because of its difficulty. I am really passionate about mathematics, and I can make it very simple for students to learn even the most difficult concepts by presenting them with real life examples. At UC Berkeley, I have taken multiple math courses such as Calculus II, Multivariable Calculus, Theoretical Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Discrete Mathematics and Probability Theory. I also have taken various courses in Statistics. I am also a Computer Science major, so I am very proficient in coding and algorithms, so I have experience in lots of different kinds of Mathematics.

In terms of test prep exams, I scored a 2160 on the SAT with a 750 in Math, 720 in Writing, and a 690 on Critical Reading. I also scored a 2121 on the SSAT when I was applying for high schools. I took lots of tutoring courses for both the SSAT and the SAT, so I know exactly what tips and tricks to use for the math portions of both exams.

My tutoring style is very professional and I am a very passionate teacher. I really enjoy all of the subjects I teach, and I am good at explaining difficult concepts to students. Most students often have trouble with Mathematics because they memorize lots of formulas, and they don’t really understand the concepts behind them. AP Calculus

Milan is very patient and teaches very clearly. He starts the session by asking what my son knows or understands then provides him with an explanation. He also posts the lesson so my son can go back and review the lesson. Milan also does not do the problem for my kid but walks through the problem with him. Great tutor.

Great for tutoring in Theoretical Probability

I had some really confusing theoretical graduate level problems for my undergrad probability theory class. He was able to identify exactly what the question was asking and clearly broke it down step by step and made sure I was able to follow along. He remembers all the important formulas and is able to identify exactly when to use them. I’ve gone to different tutors and often they have a heuristic idea of how to approach the problem and need to search up the formulas before applying them. Milan also made sure to look over material I sent him before hand and came into the session knowing how to address the problems. Would highly recommend for tutoring in theoretic probability!
