I am a professional director & editor. I recently finished directing, editing, and producing the feature film "Breakup Season," starring Chandler Riggs, now available to watch on Amazon & Tubi, which was acquired by Buffalo 8 media for a theatrical and VOD release after playing at 39 film festivals and winning 34 awards. I've additionally worked as a documentary editor on projects for Hulu, Netflix, National Geographic, and more, along with an extensive amount of other filmmaking/editing....

I am a professional director & editor. I love movies and enjoy tutoring in video production, filmmaking, and editing. Editing softwares I teach: Adobe Premiere, AVID, Final Cut Pro X, and iMovie. I can also teach about screenwriting, film production, and any other stage of a project. I love to share knowledge regardless of your skill level - no question is too simple! This work also makes me passionate about helping people with computers, so also am available for general computer tutoring as well. Additionally, I love helping students who want to learn film analysis, and jump at the opportunity to help share my passion for the theoretical side of the medium.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Chapman University with a BFA in Film Production. I am fluent in Final Cut Pro, iMovie, AVID and the Adobe Creative Suite (including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, After Effects / AfterEffects, Illustrator, Audition, and InDesign). I started editing at the age of 12, first on iMovie then other softwares, and haven't stopped since. My love of movies combined with hands-on experience can both be used to help you polish your filmmaking craft. No matter which editing software you prefer, I am happy to help you improve your use of it, including if you are brand new to editing.

As a filmmaker I am constantly producing material in Adobe InDesign for publishing or for high quality PDF sharing. Pitchbooks, programs, brochures, etc. I know my way around InDesign quite well and regardless of what you are working on, I can help you find the answers and design something fantastic.

While Wyzant doesn't have a category yet for Adobe After Effects, I am well versed in creating graphics, infographics, and 2D animation in After Effects. I mostly use this for videos when I need to create unique visual representations, be it data or something more fun. I also have created UI visualizations that are useful for app development and mimic screen experience.

Studying film and video production has been my lifelong passion. Ever since I was a young kid, I knew this is what I wanted to do and I turned it into my primary discipline. I graduated from Chapman University with high honors and a BFA in Film Production, along with a Leadership Studies minor which goes hand in hand with the collaborative nature of the film industry. I am fluent in both AVID and Premiere, the industry standards depending on the scale of your project. I work full time as an editor, currently on a feature documentary in post-production, which keeps me up to date with the very latest in filmmaking. I finished a documentary for Hulu and a documentary for Netflix in 2022. Editing has been my primary professional work, but I have worked in all capacities in filmmaking from screenwriting, to camera operating, to directing and producing. My narrative film work and passion recently culminated in directing & producing my first feature film released in 2024. Most of all, I love movies, and I love sharing knowledge and passion with aspiring filmmakers of all ages.

Now, I am currently working on a feature documentary in post-production, as well as prepping my next directing endeavor. Editing has been my primary professional work, but I have worked in all capacities in both narrative and documentary filmmaking, from camera operating, to directing, to producing. Most of all, I love movies, and I love sharing knowledge and passion with aspiring filmmakers of all ages.

In my work as a filmmaker I am frequently involved in creating new websites or updating older ones. In my case, I primarily do this for films or filmmaker portfolios, but have found myself involved in many other types as well. I primarily use SquareSpace and know that web design program extremely well. I can also connect elements created in Adobe programs and get them onto your website. For websites requiring more customization I can get you started and teach you the fundamentals to go forward. I also utilize other benefits of running a website so can answer further general questions you may have on the subject.
