As someone who struggled with ADHD myself, I know how frustrating and debilitating the condition can be and am dedicated to helping provide skills to manage symptoms, set goals, and effectively and efficiently work towards a successful completion. I have been trained at both NYU and Columbia University to work with children and adults with ADHD, as well as children with conduct disorders that may struggle to stay on task and lash out. There is no individual that would be too difficult for me to create a study plan for.

I love to write, I need to write, and I would want nothing more than to help you or your child learn how to enjoy the process of writing, reading, researching, storytelling, and critical analysis.

I have been tutoring kids since I was in middle school myself. I taught English, Art, and Sport at an underprivileged elementary school in Peru at only 16. I work amazingly well with kids and relate to them easily. I am also trained in management of ADHD and conduct disorder in children and adults by NYU, where I received my Bachelor's with a 3.9 GPA, and Columbia University.

I have been tutoring English for as long as I can remember. I even taught English summer school at an underprivileged school in Peru when I was only 16. Since elementary school, I have placed in the 99th percentile in all standardized testing for english, writing, reading comprehension, grammar, spelling, etc. I graduated from NYU with a 3.9 and a Bachelor's in Psychology.

I had the same struggles in elementary school with reading comprehension, and understand how frustrating it can be. I always loved reading, and am an avid reader, but it took a lot of help to get where I am now.

I have received professional training at both NYU and Columbia University on how to manage children and adults' ADHD symptoms, as well as how to deal with any conduct disorder a child may be struggling with. These skills are effective, of course, for children without official diagnoses. Study and time management skills help everyone!

I have been a writer since I was a child, and love to examine literature. I graduated from a reading/writing-heavy program at NYU with a 3.9 and never received lower than an A on any paper (analysis, research, etc.) in my undergraduate career.

Extremely helpful and efficient!

I have struggled with ADD all throughout my educational career and have particularly had issues with writing papers. Talena helped me write and organize a research paper for my college English class that I had been struggling to complete. She was very informative on the topic of my paper and helped me form a detailed outline, explained concepts I didn't understand, and walked me through how I should go about writing it step by step. I would absolutely recommend her!
