Hello! I’ve had many outstanding opportunities to either tutor individually or teach at academic organizations, and I really enjoy working with students.

Having studied in both Korea and the United States, I have a unique perspective and deep appreciation for Korean and English language/culture. I moved to the United States by myself at the age of 16. While attending a high school in Massachusetts, I developed and taught a Korean language/culture class for faculty members. I continued to volunteer and teach Korean language for non-Korean speakers. I am fully capable of designing curriculum, managing classrooms, and leading students to advance their understanding of the language/culture.

At University of Wisconsin in Madison, I double-majored in English Literature with an emphasis on 19th Century British Literature and Communication Arts (Radio/TV/Film). Since then, I've had a lot of experience in teaching English writing, especially college application essays.

I received M.F.A. in Film & TV Production from USC School of Cinematic Arts. I have an extensive knowledge in overall filmmaking including directing, writing, and producing. My films have been invited to various festivals all over the world and garnered numerous awards. Also I taught various filmmaking courses at New York Film Academy such as Short Film Production, Directing, and Producers Craft.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Thank you!

A great tutor! Highly recommended!

Christine is a knowledgeable and patient tutor. She made me feel at ease and helped me with my pronunciation. She also clearly explained the Korean grammar and vocabulary we went over. With her help, I managed to pass two college-level classes in Korean.
