In 1987, I earned First Place in an Architectural Plan Drawing Competition, an experience that strengthened my foundation in design principles, layout, accuracy, and visual communication. Over the years, I have applied these skills to a wide range of graphic design projects for businesses, nonprofits, marketing campaigns, and community organizations. My work has been used for storefront displays, posters, postcards, business cards, invitations, signage, banners, announcements, fundraising events, advertising campaigns, and promotional materials. I have designed company logos, business cards, magazine covers, diagrams, marketing layouts, presentations, and other custom visual materials. In addition to traditional design concepts, I can help students learn modern design tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and other online graphic design platforms. I am retired and no longer a licensed Realtor, as I chose not to renew my real estate license. Throughout my career, I was licensed in the insurance and investment industries, where public speaking and client presentations were a regular part of my work. I frequently conducted presentations explaining the benefits of various products and services to individuals, families, and groups. I also completed speech and public speaking courses in college, which provided a strong foundation that I continued to build upon throughout my professional career. In addition, I trained colleagues and newly licensed agents on how to prepare, present themselves professionally, and communicate effectively in front of prospective clients. This included presentation development, audience engagement, confidence-building, and persuasive communication techniques. Before retiring, I also conducted First-Time Home Buyer Seminars at local libraries and community venues, helping prospective buyers understand the home-buying process while presenting complex information in a clear, engaging, and easy-to-understand manner. These experiences have given me extensive real-world public speaking, presentation, and coaching skills that I now enjoy sharing with others.
