My teaching approach is built on hundreds of hours of research and implementation with a wide range of clients from undergraduate and graduate students at leading universities, entrepreneurs, attorneys, private bankers, and family offices across the United States and internationally.

Every student comes with a different starting point and goal. I take a personalized, case-by-case approach with a select number of clients so that each person receives my full attention and a strategy tailored specifically to them.

My students have gone from failing to excelling in core finance courses, passed exams with high scores on their first attempt, gained clarity on valuation models, and walked into boardrooms and classrooms with confidence.

My academic foundation includes an MBA from Duke University and a Bachelor's degree with Honors in Finance and Marketing from Texas Christian University. I hold the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and have passed five FINRA licensing exams.

Before founding this firm, I spent over ten years in money management at hedge funds and in equity research within investment banking. That real-world experience is what separates my teaching. I do not just explain how finance works in theory. I show you how it works in practice.

I worked as an equity research analyst covering under-followed small-capitalization companies misunderstood by Wall Street with unbiased and often contrarian recommendations at a Los Angeles-headquartered investment bank. Prior to the bank, I executed independent contractor projects by researching the competitive landscape for distinct industries and defining new venture opportunities. Additionally, I secured funding for a startup in the food services industry through two small business incubators, and I compiled and presented business plans and financial projections for a technology startup. My professional career began in 2000 working for three Texas-based hedge fund investment firms as an equity research analyst, trader, and assistant to the Chief Investment Officers at two of the firms.
