I currently work as a Telescope Demonstrator at Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles. My job involves communicating astronomy, math, and science to people from all over the world. Some of them are already very knowledgeable, and some are just starting to learn. Doing this for nine years has taught me how to be an effective communicator of both basic and complex subjects to all different types of audiences. This makes me especially prepared to help you! Whether you are just getting started in a new subject, need to brush up on some material, or just need somebody to talk with to help work things out in your head, I am here for you!

I have an extensive educational background in physics and astronomy, which both require strong math and computer skills. I have studied at multiple universities, including Physics and Astrophysics at University of California - Davis, and Astronomy and Planetary Sciences at Arizona State University.

My educational background and professional experience have taught me skills that make me the perfect person to help you learn. I am an excellent communicator, I am patient and non-judgmental, and most importantly I have a passion for learning. Let's work together and learn together!

I have been studying phsyics, astronomy, and astrophysics for ten years now. All of these subjects are very math heavy. Not only do I need to have strong math skills, but I also need to know how to apply them! Its more than just knowledge, its understanding. That is how I can help you. I won't just help you learn the answers, I will help you understand how to do the math.

Great for Astronomy

Allan was excellent at explaining "Astronomy 4: Black Holes and Cosmic Catastrophe" concepts to my college freshman. This was supposed to be an intro course but was definitely on a more advanced level. He was patient and used diagrams to help illustrate the ideas.
