¡Hola! I'm Lissette, a native Spanish speaker, bilingual educator, and California CSET-credentialed instructor with more than 26 years of teaching experience.

Since beginning my teaching career at Berlitz in 2000, I have helped students of all ages, from elementary school through doctoral programs, as well as professionals seeking career advancement. My students have included doctors, nurses, lawyers, accountants, educators, therapists, business professionals, government employees, military personnel, actors, singers, and public speakers.

I specialize in practical communication, pronunciation, conversation, grammar, cultural fluency, and confidence building. I have helped students earn promotions, qualify for bilingual positions, relocate to Spanish-speaking countries, communicate with Spanish-speaking spouses and family members, and strengthen their professional language skills.

As someone who learned English as a young adult, I understand the challenges of becoming bilingual and can explain Spanish in ways English speakers easily understand.

I hold a Master of Arts in Telecommunication Arts from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Advertising from The Ohio State University.

In addition to teaching, I am a professional singer, performer, producer, director, improviser, and public speaker. My music videos with Neon Venus appeared on MTV Español, MTV Puerto Rico, and VHUno, and I directed a rockumentary documenting our Mediterranean tour through Spain, Italy, Turkey, Egypt, and the Sinai.
