Originally from the east coast, I now call California home and have for many years. My journey in photography and film are a shared experience. As a kid I was never without a camera pointing my lens at anything and everything. This passion afforded me the opportunity to pursue Passion #2: film-making. Ever since I have shot big campaigns and small while making programming for TV, film and new media. Today I have credits from Sony, Marvel, MTV and a host of others. Yes, I am very Google-able. I speak throughout the Los Angeles area on those topics and am on the faculty of the prestigious Los Angeles Center of Photography. I am also the former executive director of The Story Project where I created curriculum and taught youth the power of storytelling through a variety of digital media.
A creative arts mentor throughout Los Angeles and the country, I continue to inspire through photography, filmmaking, screenwriting, documentary storytelling, and scripted filmmaking. My background has allowed me to be a sought after instructor and have been flown across the country to work with hungry students wishing to fuel their ambitions. I have been on a number of influential educational boards, am a frequent speaker, consultant and teacher, all in the areas that make up the communication arts. I am also on the faculty of the Los Angeles Center of Photography and The Story Project.
People MAKE pictures. Technology responds to our commands. Let's not be a slave to the latest app or the "automatic" dial on our cameras, photography and film-making are both art forms. If you are looking to be spectacular, I am thrilled to help you on your way. Originally from the east coast, I now call California home and have for many years. Todd couldn't have been more informative, professional, and helpful. I highly recommend him as a tutor to anyone interested in improving their photographic skills! I'm so glad to have connected with him.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
