During high school I attended Phillips Academy Andover and Phillips Exeter Academy, consistently ranked as two of the top private high schools in the USA. There I had the opportunity to study with some truly amazing teachers including Zuming Feng (the coach of the United States International Mathematics Olympiad Team) and Donald Barry (Massachusetts Mathematics Hall of Fame). For college I went to Yale University, where I took both undergraduate and graduate level courses, taking everything from Reading Poetry Theologically at the Divinity School to Behavioral Perspectives on Management at the business school. I also taught a summer course in Cognitive Science to gifted and talented 8th grade students in New Haven.
I have worked with kids and adults of all ages, from leading acting workshops for 5-year olds to running a computer workshop for homeless adults to guiding college freshmen on backpacking trips.
At Yale I studied nonverbal communication for several semesters as well as taking public speaking and performing nationally and internationally as a spoken word poet. So let me know if you need help with school or business presentations or with creative performance!
Last, but not least, I would love to help you work on your poetry or creative writing.
Shoot me a message and let’s meet up for a trial lesson! Or if you want to play some basketball or ultimate Frisbee…. No charge .

Business

Business

While a student at Yale University, I took several courses at the Yale School of Management: Behavioral Perspectives on Management, Interpersonal Dynamics, and Behavioral Decision Making I. In addition, I managed a student grill in college. I have also studied nonverbal communication with Professor Marianne LaFrance.
Calculus

Calculus

Calculus is perhaps my favorite subject to tutor. I first took calculus as a sophomore in high school, when I scored a perfect 5 on the AP Calculus BC exam. The next year I took multivariable calculus, including a semester with USA IMO Math Coach Zuming Feng. I frequently tutor OU students in calculus, including Business Calculus I and Business Calculus II.
College Counseling

College Counseling

After being accepted early decision at Yale University, I served as a Tour Guide and Senior Presenter with the Admissions department. Later I was accepted to a full-ride graduate program (MFA in Poetry at Boston University) which included a teaching fellowship stipend and an all-expenses paid trip. I enjoy telling my own story for applications and helping others to tell theirs. Feel free to reach out and see if I am a great fit for helping you pursue your dreams at college or in graduate school.
GRE

GRE

In summer of 2014 I scored a perfect 340 on the GRE-- 170/170 on the Quantitative Section and 170/170 on the Verbal Reasoning section. (I also scored a 5 out of 6 on the Analytical Writing Section). Since then I have tutored several students on the GRE on the quantitative, verbal reasoning, and analytical writing sections.
Logic

Logic

I took First Order Logic at Yale University and received an A in the course. I also have taken many mathematical courses which require logical reasoning. I also studied human decision-making which involves understanding rationality and logic as opposed to intuitive judgments. Thank you!
Public Speaking

Public Speaking

I am an award-winning Spoken Word poet and performer who has performed and run workshops from Alaska to Greece. I took Speechmaking in high school and the renowned Oratory and Statecraft with Charles Hill at Yale University. I served as a Senior Presenter with the Yale Admissions Office, giving hour long information sessions to as many as 200 people.
Study Skills

Study Skills

As a test taker, I have done extremely well, scoring a perfect 340 on the GRE. In high school I got a 2320 on the SAT. I had a 3.7 GPA at Yale University as well.
