Experienced, elite level tutoring in Los Angeles, California!

Hi there,

I have a BA from the University of Southern California, graduated Magna Cum Laude, before which I was Valedictorian of my high school. I have been tutoring for ten+ years, with an abundance of success stories. My students have gone from D's and F's to straight A's, my students have increased their SAT scores by up to 250 points, and I have students who got perfect scores on the ACT after working with me, my students get into colleges like Brown, Amhurst, Cal Poly, UCLA, USC, USC Gould School of Law (yes I help with grad school as well), Chapman, UC Berkeley, Stanford, William & Mary, Pepperdine, Loyola Marymount University and more. If college applications are what you're looking for help with, you've found the right person.

As one of those kids who actually liked school, and a full believer in the value of a quality education, I became a tutor to help students of all ages not only keep up with school, improve grades, and overcome learning challenges, but also to spread the joy of learning. School does not have to be torturous or scary, and it is this approach that allows me to truly change the game for students.

As a tutor I hone in on each student's individual needs. I tutor all ages and grade levels (including college and graduate students and I help with job application/interview prep as well). Whether it's homework help, standardized test prep and test taking strategies, college applications (for grad school apps as well!), math/english/history/science or other subject help, reading comprehension, writing, organization, time management, and more, I work with each student in an encouraging and supportive way until every parent or student has met their academic goals.
Standardized Tests I specialize in:
SAT
ACT
CHSPE
ISEE (all levels)

Approved Subjects

ACT English

ACT English

I have been tutoring the ACT for 10+ years (independently) and have a track record of helping students raise their scores immensely. My most recent ACT student finished with a composite perfect score and got into all her top college choices. I employ a proven method and strategy system that WORKS. My students typically raise their scores even after one session with me.
ACT Reading

ACT Reading

As a tutor with 10+ years experience tutoring the ACT, I have developed a proven method, specifically for the reading comprehension section that always works to not only help students finish in the allotted time but to do so with the highest possible score. I teach exactly what different questions are asking, how to determine the best choice to make on each question, how to read more effectively and efficiently and my students improve immensely after learning my methodology.
Ballroom Dancing

Ballroom Dancing

I have been trained in all areas of dance including ballet, folk, modern, jazz, ballroom, hip hop, tap and more from a very young age and consequently have upwards of ten years of dance experience. I have professionally choreographed theatre shows, variety shows, worked as a dance instructor at various youth studios and dance camps, and more!
Classics

Classics

Through AP History courses, AP literature courses, and extensive study of theatre history and ancient culture, I am well versed in the classics. From high school and throughout college in various theatre, literature, and ancient culture classes I have read/am familiar with a wide variety of Greek and Roman classics, as well as classics that came later (such as those by Shakespeare or Moliere). I have a more in-deph understanding because of the well-rounded education I received in the history of the time and cultural/social norms, as opposed to simply knowing the stories themselves. My knowledge and expertise span the most popular such as Oedipus Rex and the Oresteia, to more obscure pieces of literature such as the Bakkai.
College Counseling

College Counseling

I worked as an assistant College Counselor for 6 months with a professional college counselor. My daily tasks included meeting with parents, planning and discussing four year college preparatory course plans for high school students, updating and informing parents on college admission requirements, and more.
English

English

I hold a B.A. in Communication from the University of Southern California (USC), where I graduated magna cum laude. For more than ten years, I have helped middle school, high school, and college students strengthen their reading comprehension, analytical thinking, and writing skills. My students have achieved significant academic success, including earning perfect ACT scores, gaining admission to highly selective universities, and dramatically improving their confidence and performance in English courses. Over the years, I have worked with students on literary analysis, argumentative and expository essays, research papers, AP English coursework, standardized test preparation, and college application essays. As both a professional writer and educator, I have developed my own structured essay-writing system that teaches students how to organize their thoughts, build strong arguments, incorporate evidence effectively, and write with greater clarity and confidence. Rather than relying on memorization, I focus on helping students understand the underlying framework of strong writing so they can apply those skills independently across subjects and grade levels. My approach is highly individualized and designed to help students become stronger readers, more effective writers, and more confident communicators while fostering the critical thinking skills that support long-term academic success.

Based on a curriculum designed in my communication courses designed through social science research, theory, and methods of public speaking that are proven to be effective. Whether it is anxiety and confidence, struggling to plan/organize thoughts, preparing presentations, or simply knowing what to say, I can help determine the best way for you to tackle public speaking on your own terms.
