Anna was an absolutely and wonderful teacher for a completely new and whole hearted intro to Portugese. Just because of a major personal reason to start learning Portuguese now, I felt so calm and respected with Ann's teachings as the sounds were all very tricky for me and I felt I had to keep repeating them over and over. I loved our conversations and I loved how she emphasized what she was wanting me to do as a student, so I didn't have to keep wondering if I had questions or not. She helped direct my mind in a way of thinking that really helped me to learn because I always approach lesson's to learn a new language as something quite daunting and full of anxiety/a mental challenge to stop overthinking. Would definitely recommend Ann!

Anna is an amazing teacher! I have been having lessons with Anna for several months in preparation of becoming a teacher in Brazil. Anna has been a huge help in helping me learn Brazilian Portuguese so that I can communicate with my students and their families as well as interact with my environment outside of work. She has also shared a wealth of knowledge and resources with me about the culture and lifestyle in different Brazilian cities. She makes learning very fun and enjoyable as well as accessible to me. I definitely recommend her to anyone looking to learn Portuguese!!

Wonderful tutor for adults and kids!
Ann has been the most incredible tutor to both myself and my 7 year old son. We have a great deal of family in Portugal and it has been a dream for us all to speak the language with relatives. Ann is incredibly patient and kind, making every class fun and engaging for my son, while also helping us learn the necessary verbs and phrases to navigate conversations with loved ones and life in Portugal. I couldn't ask for a better tutor. We are so lucky to have found her!

I found Ann Louise P. through WyzAnt for my daughter who will be traveling to Italy this Fall for a semester abroad. I really should have my daughter tell you about her experience but I wanted to express my appreciation for her ability to really teach my daughter the beginning of a new language. There was a great rapport between the two and Ann was fun, very knowledgeable, so sweet and her enthusiasm was obvious. My daughter was very happy with my choice.
