I have been tutoring multiple students in math since 2002. I have helped multiple students pass standardized tests, including a high school senior studying for the ACT.
Algebra 1

Algebra 1

Born an algebra wiz, I was tested at the 95th percentile in algebraic reasoning in the 11th grade. While schooling, in all algebra classes, I was always one of the top two students. I received a Certificate of Achievement in Algebra for attaining an A+ in Algebra 1 in the 9th grade. I come alive when teaching algebra. One of my brightest students commented: "I see your passion for math and I want the same." I have taught Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and 2 at three very different schools in Arizona and South Dakota. Also tested above average in verbal reasoning, I'm gifted at breaking down difficult mathematical concepts to anyone. This combination of talents was instrumental in helping six eighth graders pass a rigorous ninth grade Algebra exam in 2014, along with improving the grades of many algebra students between the elementary and collegiate levels.

I have a bachelor's degree in mathematics and have taught math for three years. Additionally, I've been tutoring math since 2002 and have tutored all levels of students, including Calculus 1, 2 and 3 students, all of whom reported improved grades. Calculus is one of my favorite math subjects. I enjoy it so much that I've actually self-taught just for the sake of learning, both regular and advanced calculus. Had great results!

Deji met with my son to work on Calculus 1 (college level Engineering level). He had a prior tutor that did not get very good results, and we are so excited that after meeting only one time, my son's test score improved dramatically! He really helped him understand the concepts, gave him extra problems to practice, and broke down the concept into easier terms, and then scaffold with increasingly difficult problems to prepare him for the test. We are definitely going to continue to use him to help Nathan continue to be successful at this college level engineering math! Thanks!!

great help for calc

DJ helped my teenagers review for an AP calculus test. He was able to answer the questions they had and made them do extra problems. he was very patient. He was also very punctual despite traffic. Thank you DJ !
