In my time as a K-5 instructional assistant, I was on the front lines of a new program where we screened our entire school population, caught the exact gaps tripping students up, and built the foundational intervention groups needed to fix them. Most recently, I taught 6th-grade English, designing novel-based lessons aligned with California State Standards and leading advanced intervention groups to help students master text analysis.
