Hi! I am a professional film and television composer, multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and music producer with more than twenty years of industry experience. I received a classical piano diploma from the Luigi Boccherini Conservatory in Lucca, Italy, completed the Recording Program at Musicians Institute as Student of the Year, and completed UCLA Extension’s Film Scoring program. My professional work includes film, television, documentaries, advertising, and projects for major networks and brands including Amazon, Netflix, CNN, and Coca-Cola. As a performer, I toured internationally with the Pat Metheny Group and have professional experience on piano and synthesizers, bass, guitar, trumpet, saxophone, drums, and voice. This background enables me to teach piano, music theory, composition, arranging, film scoring, recording, and music production from both academic and practical perspectives.
I have taught and mentored students for approximately ten years through one-on-one lessons, both in person and online, and workshops at higher-education institutions. My students have ranged from ages 9 to 80 and have included beginners, developing musicians, composers, producers, and working professionals. Depending on the student, lessons may cover technique, reading, harmony, ear training, improvisation, songwriting, arranging, orchestration, DAW workflow, recording, mixing, or composing directly to picture.
My teaching is individualized, practical, and centered on each student’s creative interests. I begin by identifying the student’s goals, abilities, and preferred learning style, then build the necessary technical foundation around music or projects that genuinely interest them. My goal is to strengthen both proficiency and creative confidence. I want students to trust that they can become capable in a subject they care about, while giving them clear methods for practicing, evaluating their work, solving problems, and continuing to learn independently.
