I hold a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Southern California and a B.A. in Psychology from San Diego State University. My academic background provides me with a strong foundation in biology, neuroscience, biochemistry, psychology, and other STEM subjects. I also earned a 521 on the MCAT (129/131/130/131) in June 2026, giving me firsthand experience with the most recent exam structure, content demands, and study strategies needed for success.

I have several years of teaching and mentoring experience across classroom, one-on-one, and community outreach settings. As a Teaching Assistant for USC’s Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience course, I led discussion sections, explained complex scientific concepts, and supported students through coursework and assessments. I currently work as a private STEM tutor, teaching high school, college, and graduate students in biology, chemistry, neuroscience, psychology, and standardized test preparation. I have also volunteered with STEM outreach programs serving elementary, middle, and high school students from diverse backgrounds, where I developed engaging science activities and helped students build interest and confidence in STEM.
My teaching approach focuses on adapting instruction to each student's learning style, breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps, and building confidence through active learning and critical thinking. Having ADHD myself, I have developed effective strategies for organization, time management, focus, and efficient studying, which I incorporate when helping students develop personalized approaches to learning. For MCAT preparation, I emphasize both content mastery and test-taking strategies, including passage analysis, reasoning skills, and developing sustainable study habits. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing the skills needed to achieve their academic goals.
