My tutoring abilities stem from both my rigorous academic background and my personal drive as an educator, but my sensibilities geared towards patience and progress are what separate me from the pack.
In High School I was one of the few valedictorians who scored a 5/5 in both A.P. English Language and Literature. I further strengthened my essay-writing and English aptitude thanks to the Film and Media Department of U.C. Berkeley, which prides itself on developing professional analytical, research, and rhetorical skills in every student. After earning my B.A. while shepherding multiple educational clubs, I followed my passions into filmmaking and writing across many genres.
Thanks to multiple educational and career periods, I've enjoyed a variety of tutoring and teaching experiences ranging from upper to underclassmen as a teenager at my own high school, to volunteering in college, workshops among fellow writers in adulthood, and mentorship in the entertainment industry. All along, I've possessed the earnest desire and drive to improve the educations of those around me, whether they be pupils or peers.
What you can expect from me during a session is a warm, friendly approach to meet students where they are; no assumptions or generalizations. I believe anyone can immediately improve with the right amount of skill-based lessons, but you or your child can expect long-term academic growth thanks to real empathy and kindness from me as well. I know exactly how it feels to be under pressure to achieve at a high level, and it’s a life mission of mine to help as many people through that process as I can. Pairing those emotional building blocks with the intellectual pedigree fit for the challenge, I strive to give every moment of learning the grace and improvement that got me all the way here.
