Hey there! I tutor students in SAT, ACT, LSAT, college admissions, and writing, with a focus on helping them build stronger applications overall—not just stronger test scores. A higher score is definitely a top priority, but we all know it's only one part of the picture. I work with students on test strategy, essays, school lists, activity descriptions, application positioning, and the overall story they are presenting to colleges. My goal is to help students improve the pieces that admissions officers actually see while giving them a serious boost to their SAT or ACT score.

I’m currently a graduate student at the University of Southern California pursuing a Master of Urban Planning, and I previously graduated from Vanderbilt University, double majoring in Economics and Political Science. I scored a 1540 on the SAT, 34 on the ACT, and 175 on the LSAT, and I was recognized as a National Merit Scholar. Over the past four years, I’ve tutored students privately and worked as a contractor with two private tutoring firms, working across SAT/ACT prep, LSAT fundamentals, college essays, application strategy, academic writing, and reading/math support.

When I work with a student, I try to make the process clear from the beginning. We identify the goal, figure out what is holding them back, and then build sessions around the highest-impact next steps—whether that means drilling weak SAT question types, revising a personal statement, tightening a college list, or developing a weekly application plan. I’m direct and organized, but I also try to make students feel comfortable enough to ask questions and be honest about where they’re struggling. For the parents, you can expect someone who takes the work seriously, communicates clearly, and keeps the focus on progress while keeping sessions light and non-stressful.

College Counseling

Hey there! I help students and families approach college applications with a clear plan, not just a pile of deadlines and directives. I work with students on school lists, essays, activity descriptions, transfer applications, and overall application strategy, with an emphasis on making the student’s story come through clearly. My own background includes receiving Boston University’s Trustee Scholarship ( a full-ride merit award), being accepted as a transfer applicant to Vanderbilt University) receiving Boston University’s Trustee Scholarship, and currently enrolling as a graduate student at USC. In my work with previous students, I’ve helped applicants strengthen essays, target top-20 and selective universities, improve scholarship positioning, and present their experiences in a clearer, more compelling way.
Essay Writing

Essay Writing

I help students turn rough ideas into essays that are clear, compelling, and genuinely worth reading. My background is heavily writing-focused: I worked in research roles at Vanderbilt, where I helped prepare academic work and edited research materials, and I later worked professionally in Washington, D.C. writing health policy briefs, memos, and public-facing analysis. I’ve also helped students brainstorm, structure, and revise college application essays, transfer essays, personal statements, and academic papers so their writing feels sharper, more personal, and more persuasive. My goal is to improve the essay in front of us while also helping students learn how to organize ideas, build stronger arguments, and write with more confidence.
LSAT

LSAT

If you’re starting LSAT prep or feeling stuck with your score, I’ll help you make the test feel more manageable. We’ll look at where you are now, figure out what’s costing you points, and build a clear plan around Logical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, timing, and review. My goal is to help you understand the test in a practical way, not just memorize shortcuts.

Excellent Writer and Tutor!

I was blessed to have been able to get Parth to help with my essays. He is a wonderful writer and incredibly intelligent and personable. He is also diligent and readily available. He is available for remote and meetings. Already had quite a few sessions with Parth. I have had many tutoring sessions from Wyzant and he is one of the BEST! 🙏

Super helpful tutor!

Parth was the best to work with. We didn’t waste any time and got right into how to improve my LSAT score. It was a very personalized session and he asked a lot of questions to get to know me better. My score improved a few points right after our first session.

Thank you Parth for the SAT help!

I had a great experience working with Parth as my SAT math and reading tutor. He explained difficult concepts in a way that was easy to understand and always made sure I fully understood each topic before moving on. For math, he helped me improve my problem-solving speed and taught me strategies that made SAT questions much more manageable. For reading and writing, he showed me how to better analyze passages, recognize question patterns, and avoid common mistakes. Parth was patient, encouraging, and very organized with each lesson, which made studying much less stressful. His guidance helped me feel much more confident going into the SAT. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to improve their SAT score.
