My name is Lorenzo, and I am currently a third-year medical student at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, where I am also pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Research. Prior to this I earned my undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Biochemistry. This foundation in the hard sciences, combined with my current medical training, allows me to approach complex STEM topics with both a practical perspective. Over the years, I have developed a versatile teaching style by working with a wide range of age groups, mainly tutoring STEM to middle schoolers to providing MCAT preparation for aspiring medical students.
In my recent experience, I have focused heavily on helping students navigate the rigors of medical education. Having successfully completed both USMLE Step 1 and Step 2, as well as various shelf exams, I understand the unique pressure and study strategies required to excel on these high-stakes boards. My tutoring method centers on breaking down dense clinical information into manageable concepts, ensuring that my students truly understand the underlying ideas.
I am available for sessions via Zoom or in person throughout the Los Angeles area, primarily on evenings and weekends, and I am dedicated to helping others achieve their best possible results to help support my own continuing education.
