I hold a BFA in Screenwriting from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where I also minored in Arts Entrepreneurship. My education gave me a deep foundation in storytelling, essay structure, script formatting, and cinematic language, and I served as a Teaching Assistant to the Chair of Undergraduate Screenwriting, where I helped students with screenplay structure, formatting, and narrative development.

I have been teaching and tutoring in various capacities for over eight years, working with students ranging from ages 4 to 17 in both one-on-one and classroom settings. At Angelica Center for Arts and Music, I lead after-school theater and tech courses, designing lesson plans and adapting my approach to meet each student where they are. At TutorMe Education, I worked as an assistant English and film teacher and tutor, supporting students with reading comprehension, writing, and critical analysis of media. I also have experience tutoring high school students in math, working patiently with struggling students to build foundational understanding and confidence in the subject. I am currently a School Site Lead at Sylvan Learning of Los Angeles, where I oversee academic instruction and student progress.

Beyond the classroom, I spent six summers at Taubenslag Productions directing and writing plays for groups of roughly 40 teenagers, which sharpened my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and accessibly. I am patient, encouraging, and experienced at building confidence in students who may struggle with writing, math, or verbal expression. Whether working on an essay, a script, math fundamentals, or reading comprehension, I tailor every session to the individual student's needs and goals.

My background in musical theater and performance spans over eight years of working with singers and performers of all ages and skill levels, from young beginners to high school students preparing for auditions.
