I hold a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Music from UCLA, and I have spent more than 15 years working with students across virtually every subject and age group. My classroom experience spans elementary through adult learners, and I have worked in both traditional classroom settings and one-on-one environments, giving me a well-rounded understanding of how different students absorb and retain information. Over the course of my career I have taught and tutored history, social studies, English, writing, mathematics, science, and music, adapting my approach to meet each student wherever they are.

My tutoring philosophy is built around patience, encouragement, and flexibility. I believe that every student is capable of growth when they feel genuinely supported rather than judged. Whether I am working with a young student who is struggling with reading fundamentals or an older student preparing for a history exam, I take the time to understand how that individual thinks and learns before deciding how to approach the material. I have found that building a student's confidence is often just as important as teaching the content itself.

My background in both the humanities and music gives me a uniquely broad perspective that I bring into every session. I am equally comfortable breaking down a complex essay prompt, walking through a challenging math concept, or helping a student connect historical events to the world they see today.
