Hello! My name is Nash and I am a 4th year medical student with a strong background in biology, chemistry, and physics. I studied biomedical engineering in college, which gave me a solid foundation in problem solving and quantitative thinking. Over the past several years, I have also been involved in clinical research, working with large datasets and complex topics, which has helped me develop a clear and structured way of approaching difficult material. I am very comfortable teaching high school and college level science, as well as helping students prepare for exams like the MCAT.

I have been tutoring students since college and have worked with both high school and undergraduate students in one-on-one and classroom settings. In my previous tutoring experience, I helped students work through challenging science concepts and improve their performance on exams by building a strong understanding of the material. I also served as a peer mentor in medical school, where I guided students through coursework, study strategies, and the transition into a clinical environment. Through these experiences, I have learned how to adjust my teaching style depending on the student and focus on what they need most.

During sessions, I like to keep things structured but interactive. I usually start by identifying where a student is getting stuck, then work through problems together step by step so they can understand the reasoning behind each answer. I focus on helping students build confidence and develop strategies they can use on their own, rather than just memorizing information. My goal is to make challenging subjects feel more manageable and help students become more independent in how they study and approach exams.

Approved Subjects

ACT Math

ACT Math

I have worked with students preparing for ACT Math by helping them strengthen core concepts and improve how they approach problems under time pressure. Through my tutoring experience, I’ve helped students identify common mistakes, work more efficiently, and build consistency across different question types. I focus on developing a clear problem-solving approach so students can move through the test with more confidence and accuracy.
Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I have experience helping high school students work through Algebra 1 concepts, including functions, polynomials, and problem-solving strategies. My background in biomedical engineering and medicine has given me a strong foundation in math, and I’m comfortable breaking down multi-step problems in a clear way. I focus on helping students develop a consistent approach to solving problems so they can work through new and more difficult questions with confidence.
MCAT

MCAT

I have a strong background in the sciences and standardized testing, and I scored a in 93rd percentile on the MCAT. As a current medical student, I am very familiar with the MCAT and the preparation process, including how to approach passage-based questions and manage time effectively. I apply a structured approach to MCAT preparation by helping students identify weak areas, focus on high-yield content, and develop consistent strategies for improving performance.
Physics

Physics

I have experience helping students with physics across high school and college levels, including mechanics, electricity and magnetism, and problem-solving techniques. As a biomedical engineering major, I completed upper-division physics coursework, which gave me a strong foundation in applying concepts to more complex problems. I focus on helping students break down multi-step problems and understand the underlying principles so they can approach new questions with confidence.
SAT Math

SAT Math

I have experience helping students prepare for SAT Math by focusing on core concepts, timing, and test strategy. I scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT and am familiar with the structure and common patterns that show up on the exam. I work with students to develop a consistent approach to solving problems efficiently so they can improve both accuracy and speed on test day.
