Prior to college, I mainly tutored students in Math, but I've also done science and engineering on occasion. Several of my students (from 3rd grade to 10th grade) saw their grades go from Cs to As, 1 student was even accepted to a math-intensive honors camp. In addition to tutoring 1 on 1, I worked at Kumon for a few years which services students from Pre-K all the way through high school in math, all the way up to calculus.
With regards to public speaking, I was a student in Toastmasters before college, which helped me improve my skills. Additionally, in a collegiate Speech and Debate competition, I came in third place in the Impromptu division. Additionally, I further developed my public speaking skills, having led various organizations and nonprofits. Last summer, at my internship, I came in first place out of 200 interns in a presentation competition where we presented on the work we completed that summer.
I don't use premade worksheets; instead, I tailor each session to what the student needs, whether it is prep for an exam, homework help, or trying to get ahead in class. I'm happy to have a quick call and see if I'd be a good fit.
