Dear students and parents,

My name is David, and I am a bilingual educator with 3 years of experience in both classroom and one-on-one settings. My background is rooted in academic research and higher education support, where I have managed multi-chapter research projects and developed student resource systems. This academic foundation allows me to tutor a wide range of subjects—including Mathematics, History, and Literature—in both English and Spanish. I have worked with a diverse range of learners, from elementary school students building foundational skills to university-level students navigating complex research and STEM-related writing.

My tutoring method is highly narrative-driven and focuses on conceptual mastery rather than rote memorization or rigid grammar drills. When teaching Spanish or ESL, I prioritize real-world communication and "big picture" comprehension, helping students feel confident expressing themselves before we fine-tune the technical details. In subjects like Math and History, I break down complex theories into digestible steps, often using bilingual instruction to clarify difficult concepts. Additionally, I provide specialized mentorship for the college application process. I guide students through the transition to higher education by assisting with essay structuring, scholarship applications, and organizational strategies that I developed during my own extensive academic career.

Whether we are solving algebraic equations or preparing a personal statement for university, my goal is to foster a student’s cognitive flexibility and long-term academic independence. I believe that once a student understands the "why" behind a subject, the "how" becomes much easier to manage.

I look forward to meeting with you to discuss your specific learning goals and creating a personalized plan for your success.

Data Analysis

As a Data Analyst, I played an integral role on a collaborative team investigating how campus climate assessments can inform the development of inclusive policies and practices that support racial minorities across higher education institutions nationwide. In close collaboration with my colleagues, I employed rigorous data analysis and qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to facilitate interpretation and generate valuable insights. This research initiative allowed me to deepen my understanding of the intricate complexities of diversity and inclusion in academia while actively promoting equitable environments for marginalized communities in colleges and universities across the United States.
