Hello! My name is Sai, and I am an incoming medical student at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. I graduated from UCLA with a major in Neuroscience and minors in Systems Biology and Philosophy, and I scored a 526 on the MCAT. Over the past five years, I have worked with students at many stages of their academic journey, including high school AP science courses, undergraduate pre-med coursework, and MCAT preparation. During my time at UCLA, I also served as a teaching assistant and laboratory mentor, where I helped guide students through challenging scientific concepts and experimental techniques. Through this experience, I learned how to break down difficult material into clear, manageable ideas and how to identify where students are getting stuck so we can address those challenges efficiently. I enjoy helping students build both confidence and mastery in subjects like biology, chemistry, biochemistry, and physics.
My tutoring philosophy focuses on individualized learning and strategic preparation, especially for the MCAT. The exam is long and demanding, covering a very broad range of material, and I believe the most effective preparation goes beyond memorizing large amounts of content. Instead, I work with students to develop the conceptual frameworks and problem-solving techniques that the test is designed to evaluate. Having gone through the pre-med path myself, from rigorous coursework to preparing for and succeeding in the medical school admissions process, I understand the challenges students face and enjoy helping them navigate them effectively. Whether you’re aiming to improve your grades, prepare for a major exam, or strengthen your scientific foundation, I look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your academic goals.
