I hold a business degree from Cal State Dominguez Hills. I founded The Cook Financial Group, developed the South African Private Investment Fund, and built relationships with J.P. Morgan, Fidelity, and Trust Company of the West. Parallel to that career, I wrote. The VEIL SERIES. The Calling. Father, Father, sold out at the Santa Monica Playhouse. I’m now producing the limited series IN THE BOSOM OF ABRAHAM.
My teaching credentials are rooted in this dual perspective. I served as Professor Pro-Tem at CSU Dominguez Hills, teaching The Art of the International Deal in the Negotiation and Conflict Resolution Masters Program. I’ve lectured at USC, UCLA, the Congressional Black Caucus, and the Wall Street Journal Entrepreneurship Conference.
I was named to the World Trade Hall of Fame and Alumni of the Year (International Service) by CSU. Board memberships include the Cape of Good Hope Foundation, Project Unity, and the UN Association, where I served as Vice-President.
I specialize in fiction, screenwriting, playwriting, and professional writing. My method is diagnostic and collaborative. We assess your project. We identify strengths and weaknesses. We establish clear objectives and break large problems into smaller ones. You tell me what you need. I tell you what I see. Week by week, page by page.
I don’t accept every client. But if you’re serious—if you have a story you care about and the willingness to revise—I want to hear from you. You don’t need a completed manuscript or an MFA. You need commitment.
Contact me to schedule your free consultation. Tell me about your project. Tell me where you’re stuck. I’ll listen. Then we’ll begin.
