I am a Computer Science major with a minor in Neuroscience with years of experience teaching students of all ages math, reading, writing and science and computer science. I’ve completed university coursework in algorithms, data structures, Java, Python, SQL, and software engineering, and I’ve applied these skills through hands-on projects and tutoring. This mix of academic and real world experience helps me explain concepts clearly and in a way that actually makes sense to students.
Before tutoring privately, I spent six years working at a public library, where I taught K–12 students across a wide range of subjects. I helped younger students strengthen foundational reading and math skills, supported middle-schoolers with science and writing, and taught foreign and ESL students basic English and beginner computer science concepts. I’ve also tutored students one-on-one in programming, study skills, and homework support, adapting my approach to each student’s pace and learning style.
My teaching style is patient, structured, and confidence building. I break down challenging topics into simple steps, help students develop strong study habits, and make sure they truly understand the reasoning behind what they’re learning and not just the steps. Whether a student is struggling, needs extra practice, or wants to get ahead, I focus on making learning approachable and stress free. I’d love to support you or your student in reaching your goals.
