Hello, I'm Samay! I have a Master's in Engineering, and over the years, I’ve developed a real passion for helping students understand and enjoy technical subjects. My background spans advanced areas like Engineering Statics, Dynamics, and Thermodynamics, but I also have extensive experience teaching foundational math and physics at all levels. What I’ve found most rewarding is showing students how these subjects connect to the real world and helping them build confidence in their problem-solving skills.
For the past four years, I’ve tutored both privately and publicly, teaching K–12 mathematics, Physics I/II/III, and college-level engineering courses. I spent two years at Mathnasium, working with students of all ages, where I learned how to adapt lessons to each student’s pace and learning style. After that, I tutored privately for another two years, focusing mainly on high school and college students who were tackling physics and introductory engineering concepts. During my time as a teaching assistant in college, I also supported upper-level engineering courses, guiding students through detailed technical work and strengthening their understanding of the material.
My teaching style focuses on clarity and connection. I believe any concept can be made approachable when it’s explained with patience and context. I like to start with intuition, then build up to the math and mechanics so students really get what’s happening behind each equation. No matter where students are in their education, I aim to make learning both engaging and empowering.
