I earned a B.S. in Biological Psychology from UC Davis, where I taught Human Gross Anatomy for two years as a lab aide, delivering cadaver-based instruction, leading prosection demonstrations, and designing lesson plans tailored to undergraduates at varying levels of preparation.
During my gap year, I independently tutored MCAT students, focusing on evidence-based strategies and high-yield study methods. I personally achieved a 20-point score increase in about 100 hours of prep time, ultimately earning a 520, and now enjoy helping others improve efficiently while avoiding burnout. My approach emphasizes smart planning, targeted content review, and test-day mindset. I attempt to distill complex material into digestible formats and offer performance coaching to reduce anxiety and build confidence.
I’ve also mentored dozens of premeds through formal and informal roles, including UCLA’s PRIME-LA Institute and the HYLC program for high school students. I aim to meet students where they are both academically and with their self confidence. My students have describe me as approachable, motivational, and efficient. I believe that learning should be rigorous but never discouraging, and I’m committed to helping every student unlock their full potential.
