Hi, I’m Sophia! I’m a fourth-year pre-med student with a strong background in tutoring and test preparation. I recently took the MCAT and scored a 524 (130/130/132/132), so I understand both the challenges and the strategies needed to excel on this exam.
I’ve been tutoring students of all ages for over 8 years, covering subjects ranging from math and science to test prep and college application essays. Over that time, I’ve learned how to adapt my teaching style to meet each student’s needs, whether that means breaking down tough concepts step by step, creating personalized study plans, or boosting confidence through encouragement and practice. My goal with each student is to make learning as enjoyable and approachable as possible.
I have completed all of my premed pre-req classes and have earned A's in nearly all of them, with a GPA of 3.95. I studied by simplifying complex ideas and practice problems to their most basic form, which shaped how I teach - breaking down tough material into clear, intuitive steps. On the MCAT, understanding core ideas and underlying patterns is key, so I aim to help students focus on those foundations to think critically and confidently on test day.
I know firsthand that while the MCAT is a difficult exam, it’s absolutely manageable with the right approach, mindset, and resources. My goal is not just to help you improve your score, but also to make studying more efficient and less overwhelming. I’ll be here to guide you through content review, test-taking strategies, and the mental side of preparing for such a big milestone.
Most importantly, I want you to know that you can and will succeed, and I’d love to help you get there.
