Greetings! James here. Political Science Master's from beautiful CSULA and an undergrad with honors, 4.0 GPA. I teach government, civics, political theory, comparative politics, and American government. I've lectured at the big lectern on the the big projector and it's the love of my life. Nothing more rewarding than teaching, and nothing more interesting than government, theory, and the infinite permutations of man's quest to wrest some control of this wild world into something concrete and discernible.

I have taught and tutored in both large, small, and 1-on-1 formats. I have worked with students to develop award-winning papers at the National Model U.N. summit in Washington D.C. and lead their committees to glory and exaltation. The study of government is that of power and excellence - of course; the student should be keen on the objectives.

Before getting into the study of government I worked at a nonprofit social justice stage theatre for an entire career, so my well stretches beyond the textbook and into the deeply connected cultural tissue of Los Angeles, the United States, and beyond. It also makes for some entertaining stories and anecdotes, should they relate to the coursework at least.

People think government's boring, we think of the DMV and the mundane bureaucracy of our lives - but this is not the case. The government touches every aspect of our lives, it mediates our every relation, interaction, activity. We stride upon an invisible web, and are, at times, constrained by invisible chains - only through a deep understanding of these structures and constructs can we triumph on the battlefield of our lives.
