I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and am completing a second B.S. in Biochemistry, which has provided me with a strong foundation in problem-solving and logical thinking that I bring to my tutoring. I have extensive experience working with students from elementary through high school, supporting them in math, reading, and writing. My tutoring style is patient and personalized, focusing on creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence.

Over the years, I have served as a mentor, tutor, and success coach for programs such as the ASU Joaquin Bustoz Math-Science Honors Program, guiding students through complex material and research projects. I have also volunteered as a tutor for children from diverse backgrounds, providing one-on-one support to help them achieve their academic goals. Having participated in rigorous STEM programs myself, I understand how to break down challenging concepts into accessible lessons that match each student’s learning style.

I tailor each session to the individual student, emphasizing both understanding and skill-building. While I am not fully bilingual, I have a strong understanding of Spanish, which allows me to communicate effectively with some Spanish-speaking students and families. My goal is to foster both academic growth and a love of learning, helping students succeed while feeling supported and encouraged.

Approved Subjects

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I simplify Algebra 1 by breaking down concepts such as solving equations, graphing, inequalities, and word problems into easy-to-follow steps. My goal is to help students master these skills with confidence and prepare for higher-level math.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I guide students through Algebra 2 topics such as quadratic functions, polynomials, rational expressions, and logarithms. With a clear, step-by-step approach, I focus on both understanding the methods and applying them to challenging problems.
Elementary Math

Elementary Math

I help students build a strong foundation in number sense, operations, and problem-solving through patient and supportive lessons. We work on key skills like addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and word problems so that math feels clear and approachable.
Geometry

Geometry

I make geometry easier to understand by focusing on visual learning and logical reasoning. Students gain confidence as we work on proofs, congruence, similarity, coordinate geometry, and trigonometry through clear explanations and practice.
Linear Algebra

Linear Algebra

I have advanced coursework in linear algebra, covering matrices, determinants, eigenvalues, and vector spaces. I help students develop both strong computational skills and a deeper understanding of how these concepts apply in real-world math and science.
